PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image detector and a radiography cassette in which impact resistance and reworkabilty in replacement of supporting member are improved by solving a problem in a case of not having a substrate of photo detection unit, and further high quality in images is achieved.SOLUTION: An X-ray image detector comprises: a scintillator 10 for converting an X-ray radiated through a subject into fluorescent light an X-ray image detecting body 1 having a photo detection unit 50 arranged at an X-ray incident side of the scintillator 10 and a supporting member 60A arranged at an X-ray incident side of the X-ray image detecting body 1 to support the subject. The photo detection unit 50 comprises: a thin film section 40 for detecting the fluorescent light as an electric signal and a reinforcing member 49 arranged at a side opposite to the scintillator 10 side of the thin film section 40.
