PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image detection device which includes a photodetector and on which X-rays are incident toward a scintillator from the side of the photodetector that has a new structure capable of satisfactorily exhibiting adhesion between a support body and a phosphor and reflection characteristics of light, respectively.SOLUTION: In the X-ray image detection device 1 including a scintillator panel 10 including a phosphor 200 which is formed on a support body 101 and emits fluorescence by irradiation of X-rays, and a photodetector 40 for detecting the fluorescence emitted from the phosphor as an electric signal, the phosphor 200 has a columnar portion 20 formed by growing the crystal of a fluorescent substance in a columnar shape, and a non-columnar portion 25 which is provided between the columnar portion 20 and the support body 101 and has a lower void than that of the columnar portion 20, the scintillator panel 10 is arranged in the rear side of the photodetector 40 in a traveling direction of the X-rays, and the phosphor 200 has the non-columnar portion 25 arranged in an opposite side of the photodetector 40.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】光検出器を備え、光検出器側からシンチレータに向かってX線が入射するX線画像検出装置において、支持体と蛍光体との密着性、および光の反射特性のそれぞれを良好に発揮しうる新規な構造のシンチレータを提供すること。【解決手段】X線画像検出装置1は、支持体101上に形成されX線の照射によって蛍光を発する蛍光体200を含むシンチレータパネル10と、蛍光体が発した蛍光を電気信号として検出する光検出器40と、を備え、蛍光体200は、蛍光物質の結晶が柱状に成長してなる柱状部20、および柱状部20と支持体101との間に設けられかつ柱状部20の空隙率よりも空隙率が低い非柱状部25を有し、シンチレータパネル10がX線の進行方向において光検出器40の後側に配置されるとともに、蛍光体200において非柱状部25が光検出器40とは反対側に配置される。【選択図】図1
