PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article compatibly achieving high deodorant performance and decrease in stimulation to the skin of a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable surface sheet, a liquid-impermeable backside sheet, and a liquid-retention absorber interposedly disposed between the surface sheet and the backside sheet, where a direction extending from the ventral part of the wearer via a crotch part to the back side is defined as a longitudinal direction, and a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction is defined as a lateral direction.
