PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article wherein body fluid is difficult to remain on a front face sheet for a long time and wherein twisting or wrinkles hardly ever occur.SOLUTION: This absorbent article 1 includes: the front face sheet 2 containing fiber and forming a skin-facing face 2a a rear face sheet 3 forming a non-skin-facing face 3b and an absorber 4 interposed between both the sheets 2, 3. The absorbent article 1 has a longitudinal direction X disposed in a direction heading for a back side part from a belly side part of a wearer in time of wearing and a lateral direction Y orthogonal to the longitudinal direction X. The skin-facing face 2a of the front face sheet 2 is formed with recessed parts 20 extending directions crosswise to the longitudinal direction X and the lateral direction Y in a lattice state, and the front face sheet 2 is sectionalized into a lot of areas by the recessed parts 20, so that a lot of section areas 22 are formed.
