To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing rubbing with the skin of a wearer.SOLUTION: The absorbent article comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet, a back sheet, an absorber having an absorbent core and disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, and an adhesive part provided on the outer surface of the back sheet, and has a longitudinal direction corresponding to the front/back direction of the wearer and a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and can be fixed to closing of the wearer. The absorbent core includes: a front core portion and a back core portion located at both ends in the longitudinal direction； an intermediate core portion located between the front core portion and the back core portion and formed to be narrower than the front core portion and the back core portion； and plural longitudinal grooves extending along the longitudinal direction and plural lateral grooves extending along the lateral direction, which are formed at least at the intermediate core portion.
