It is intended to provide a food or a drink showing a sharp after taste without loweringthe maximum level of sweetness. By adding a polymerized polyphenol (in particular,polymerized catechin that is a tea-origin polymerized polyphenol) to a foodor a drink containing a sweetener, it is possible to provide a food or a drink whichshows a regulated long-lasting sweetness, which is an after taste unfavorablefrom the standpoint of preference, while scarcely lowering the maximum levelof sweetness of the sweetener.
