PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various kinds edible products such as pickled plum, pickles, miso soup, soup, seasoning, confectionery, noodle soup or side dish, having improved salty taste and meeting users taste and to provide a salt-reduced type edible product having salty taste having no inferiority before salt reduction even if a content of salt is reduced and being excellent in gustatory.SOLUTION: A malt extract is added to the edible product to reinforce salty taste. The edible product is loaded with 0.005-0.2 mass% of the malt extract.
