PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sense of unease of a subject to be examined and facilitate communication between the subject and an operator by using a projector.SOLUTION: A medical image capturing device includes: an image capturing unit a gantry 10 housing at least a part of the image capturing unit and covering an image capturing space in which a subject 60 is placed a moving device 20 for moving the subject 60 relative to the gantry 10 and a projector 50. The gantry 10 has a surface 14 demarcating the image capturing space into which the subject is inserted, and at least a part of the surface 14 also functions as a screen for displaying a projection image from the projector 50.
