A device for detecting and treating bruxism, including three special blocks, the elements of which are located in one or more components, the said blocks being:! a) a tracking unit consisting of at least one element adapted for distance measurements； ! b) a computing unit adapted to determine distances from said measurements, to detect the possibility of a bruxism event by the value of said distances, to confirm that said possible event is a real bruxism event that requires treatment to make logical decisions and signal that to terminate said confirmed event, a stimulus must be applied； and! c) a stimulation unit adapted to receive said signal from said computing unit and to create and apply said stimulus to terminate said confirmed bruxism event； ! wherein said device is characterized in that at least one of said elements of said tracking block is located in a component that is attached to the first tooth in one jaw of the patient, and distance measurements made by said tracking block indicate the interocclusal distance between said first tooth and the opposite tooth in the other jaw of the patient. ! 2.
