PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope light source device being usable by switching between two observation modes in a simple configuration and capable of reducing operation sound other than switching.SOLUTION: A filter frame 35 that is set at a second position outside an optical path by an operation of mode switching is moved by a rotary solenoid 34 to which a second drive signal output from a drive circuit 39 is applied. When the filter frame reaches the vicinity of a first position, the application of the second drive signal is stopped by a position detection signal generated by a first position sensor 41.
