Provided is an ophthalmic surgical instrument in which, during a surgical operation, it is possible to prevent a pipe from bending and further to draw forth a desired length of a reinforcement sleeve and to lay said sleeve over the pipe. This ophthalmic surgical instrument (10) used for an operation inside an eyeball has: a body (15) having a through-hole; a reinforcement sleeve (13) which is in contact with the inner surface of the through-hole in the body (15); a pipe (12) which is passed through the interior of the reinforcement sleeve (13) and which has, protruded from a distal end thereof, an operating part (11); and a moving member (17) which is connected to the pipe (12) and which is capable of sliding in the axial direction of the ophthalmic surgical instrument so as to cause the pipe (12) to slide, the ophthalmic surgical instrument being further provided with a first slide mechanism which allows the reinforcement sleeve (13) to slide in the axial direction of the ophthalmic surgical instrument and a second slide mechanism which allows the pipe (12) to slide in the axial direction of a forceps for the vitreous body, wherein the first and second slide mechanisms are independent of each other and unaffected by the other.L'invention concerne un instrument chirurgical ophtalmique dans lequel, au cours d'une intervention chirurgicale, il est possible d'empêcher un tuyau de se plier et en outre de tirer une longueur souhaitée d'un manchon de renforcement et de poser ledit manchon sur le tuyau.
