The invention relates to a method for producing blocks of an aqueous gel, comprising: - a step of forming a compound by mixing: i. an aqueous substrate, liquid at ambient temperature, brought to a temperature permitting the dissolution (E1) of a gelling agent； and ii. gelling agent, - a step of withdrawal (E4) of the compound； - A step of cooling in line (E5) of the compound so as to bring it below a second temperature, to which it is gelled； a transfer step (E6) in a distribution line； a debiting step (E7) in blocks of the gelled compound, at the outlet of the distribution line； and a step of distributing the gel blocks in a breeding container, immediately following the block debiting of the gel. Such a method allows a production of blocks of gels continuously and if necessary, in the context of an animal breeding, including an insect breeding.
