The present invention relates to a suture thread used for surgical suture for human or animal, especially for suturing skin or muscles in human specifically for plastic surgery. The present invention further relates to a method for producing the suture thread, and an automatic suture thread production apparatus. To this end, circular threads are processed in a form of a flat body, and projections are formed on both lateral sides of the body by undergoing a cutting process.
