PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive added to food with which adhesion between fleshy masses is improved in meat processed food product such as ham or daily meat dish produced by making the fleshy masses adhere to one another.SOLUTION: The adhesive is added to a meat processed food product produced by making meat piece aggregates adhere to one another, and is made of arginine. The method for producing the meat processed food includes bringing the arginine into contact with the meat pieces to make the meat pieces adhere to one another to integrate the meat piece aggregates.
