PURPOSE: A supplementary device for strengthening upper limb muscles is provided such that a user can perform muscle strengthening exercises without applying a load of the upper limbs muscle strengthening device by forming an apparatus for the user to mount arms of the user. CONSTITUTION: An upper limbs muscle strengthening supplementary device comprises a biosignal sensing electrode, a biosignal processing unit, a connecting link unit, a power sensor, a motion signal processing unit, and a motor. The biosignal sensing electrode measures an electromyogram signal of the upper limb muscle strength of a user. The biosignal processing unit analyzes motion timing of the user based on the measured electromyogram signal from the biosignal sensing electrode. The motion signal processing unit combines the analyzed information from the biosignal processing unit and the detected information from the power sensor and generates a signal for controlling a rotation angle and transportation of the connecting link unit.본 발명은 재활자나 노약자의 상지 근력 강화 운동을 보조하는 상지 근력 보조 장치에 관한 것으로, 더 상세하게는, 사용자의 동작 의도에 따라 임피던스를 조절하여 작동가능한 상지 근력 보조 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 상지 근력 보조 장치는, 사용자의 상지 근육의 근전도 신호를 측정하는 생체 신호 측정 전극； 상기 생체 신호 측정 전극에서 측정된 근전도 신호를 기반으로 사용자의 동작 의도 타이밍을 분석하는 생체 신호 처리부； 사용자의 상지가 접촉하는 상지 접촉부를 갖는 연결 링크부； 상기 연결 링크부에 부착되어 상지의 힘을 감지하는 힘 센서； 상기 생체 신호 처리부에서 분석한 정보와 상기 힘 센서에서 감지한 정보를 통합하여, 상기 연결 링크부의 이동 및 회전 각도를 제어하기 위한 신호를 생성하는 동작 신호 처리부； 및 상기 동작 신호 처리부에서 생성한 신호를 전달받아 구동하며, 상기 연결 링크부와 연결되는 모터를 포함한다.
