The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, improving or treating inflammatory diseases, which comprises flavonoid compounds extracted from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi as active ingredients. Particularly, the present invention relates to a composition which comprises flavonoid compounds extracted from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi as active ingredients to provide anti-oxidation capability, while not affecting the viability of cells, and inhibit the actions of various proteins participating in inflammatory responses, thereby exhibiting excellent anti-inflammation activity. The composition according to the present invention inhibits phosphorylation (activation) of ERK, JNK and p38 proteins caused by inflammatory responses, suppresses phosphorylation (activation) and decomposition of I-B protein caused by inflammatory responses, inhibits intra-nucleus metastasis of NF-B p65 protein caused by inflammatory responses, suppresses expression of COX-2 protein caused by inflammatory responses, inhibits expression of iNOS protein caused by inflammatory responses, or suppresses expression of cytokines (TNF-, IL-6) caused by inflammatory responses, thereby preventing, improving or treating inflammatory diseases effectively.본 발명은 황금으로부터 추출된 플라보노이드계 화합물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 염증성 질환의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 황금으로부터 추출된 플라보노이드계 화합물을 유효성분으로 함유하여 세포의 생존률에는 영향을 미치지 않으면서 항산화력을 나타내고 염증반응에 관여하는 여러 단백질의 작용을 저해함으로써 우수한 항염증 활성을 나타내는 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 조성물은 염증반응에 의한 ERK, JNK, p38 단백질의 인산화(활성화) 저해, 염증반응에 의한 I-κB 단백질의 인산화(활성화) 저해 및 분해 저해, 염증반응에 의한 NF-κB p65 단백질의 핵(nucleus)내 전이 저해, 염증반응에 의한 COX-2 단백질의 발현 저해, 염증반응에 의한 iNOS 단백질의 발현 저해, 또는 염증반응에 의한 사이토카인(TNF-α, IL-6)의 발현 저해를 통해 효과적으로 염증성 질환을 예방, 개선 또는 치료할 수 있다.
