PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the position of an ultrasonic vibrator in x-ray fluoroscopy without impairing the performance as an ultrasonic catheter in the ultrasonic catheter.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic catheter includes a long catheter sheath 2 used by inserting into a body cavity or lumen a driving shaft 10 which is incorporated into the catheter sheath 2, transmits a mechanical driving force from the front side to the tip side of the catheter sheath 2, and is provided with a processing part with stage in which staging processing is given to its tip end and a housing 11 provided with the ultrasonic vibrator and/or an ultrasonic reflection plate connected to the tip side of the driving shaft 10. In the ultrasonic catheter 1 in which the driving shaft is rotated by an external driving source, an x-ray contrast property administering means 12 is disposed on the tip side end of the driving shaft 10.
