PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine that can prevent a users hands and/or forearms from being detached from massage parts even when the backrest is reclined rearward and that can give a massage to the users hands and/or forearms and the back at the same time.SOLUTION: A chair type massage machine 1 includes: a seat 2 an armrest 3 disposed on left and right sides of the seat 2 an arm massage part 5 that has an opening 7 which opens towards the rear of the armrest 3 and that can give a massage to the hand W and/or forearm V inserted from the opening 7 towards the front and a backrest 4 disposed at the rear of the seat 2.
