PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus and a mammography apparatus which simplifies observation of a lesion included in a medical image relating to breasts.SOLUTION: A first setting part sets a first mark indicating a first region of interest to a first cross-sectional image out of plural cross-sectional images relating breasts aligned along a predetermined direction. A second setting part sets a second mark having a display mode different from the first mark to a second cross-sectional image different from the first cross-sectional image out of plural cross-sectional images on the basis of the position of the first mark.
