PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing loosened dried laver that looks improved in color, and is free from deterioration of quality and freshness even when freezing for a long period.

SOLUTION: This method for producing the loosened dried laver includes a slightly boiling process S11 of soaking collected original algae in hot water followed by slightly boiling, a dehydrating process S12, and a drying process S13. In addition to that, the original algae are frozen after slightly boiling so as to preserve them as the raw material for a long period and supply the loosened dried laver regardless of season/amount. The preservability and flavor of the loosened dried laver are improved by the method for producing the loosened dried laver.
