A method of fusing maxilla and mandibular images applied with a positioning unit is disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing a first dental cast and mounting the positioning unit on the first dental cast, scanning the first dental cast with the positioning unit to generate a first dental cast image information, mounting the positioning unit on the teeth of a subject, scanning the maxilla and mandibular of the subject with the positioning unit to generate a real maxilla and mandibular image information and fusing the first dental cast image information and the real maxilla and mandibular image information to generate a fused maxilla and mandibular image information.
