A foodstuffs dispenser for injecting filling foodstuffs into recipient foodstuffs is disclosed, for example to make chicken Kiev, which has a sharp tip allowing creation of a cavity for injection of the filling foodstuffs and the actual injection to be carried out in a single step. Further disclosed is a dispensing nozzle with a flat blade suitable for this purpose and a dispenser for dispensing foodstuffs or other viscous materials which allows a container containing the material container to vent through a gap between a plunger for applying a dispensing pressure to the material and an inner surface of the container. The dispenser having a handle 24 and a trigger 20 used to actuate a drive mechanism to drive a plunger 12 against a container 4 in order to dispense a filling through a nozzle 6.
