PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel allowing a user to easily recognize the position of an operating part for adjusting the braking force of a brake of a spool.SOLUTION: In the fishing reel 10, the spool 20 is rotatably supported between side plates 16a and 16b of a reel body 12, and the braking force of the brake 54 for braking the rotation of the spool can be adjusted via a rotation operating part 86 disposed in the side plate 16b. The rotation operating part 86 is disposed at a position separated from the palm of a hand holding a fishing rod 8 and the reel body 12 to be exposed to outside, at the lower part of the side plate 16b on the other side to a handle 30 that winds up the fishing line to the spool 20, so that the rotation operating part 86 can be operated with fingers of the hand holding the reel body. The fishing reel also has a window W and an indicator part 88 in the reel body 12 and in the side plate 16b so that the braking force of the brake 54 adjusted by the rotation operating part 86 can be recognized with the visual sense or tactile sense of the fishing person holding the reel body 12.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】スプールの制動装置の制動力を調整する操作部の位置がどこにあるのか、認識し易くすることが可能な魚釣用リールを提供すること。【解決手段】魚釣用リール10は、リール本体12の側板16a,16b間にスプール20を回転自在に支持し、このスプールの回転を制動する制動装置54の制動力を、側板16bに配置した回動操作部86を介して調整可能としている。釣糸をスプール20に巻き取るハンドル30に対して反対側の側板16bの下部には、釣竿8およびリール本体12を握持保持した際に手の掌に対して離れた位置に回動操作部86を配置して外部に露出させ、回動操作部86をリール本体を保持した手の指で操作可能としている。そして、回動操作部86によって調整される制動装置54の制動力をリール本体12を握持保持した釣り人の視覚又は触覚により認識させる窓部W及び指示部88をリール本体12及び側板16bに設けている。【選択図】 図2
