PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device for supporting positioning of an ultrasonic probe in radiation therapy, and to provide a supporting method.SOLUTION: A support device includes: a calculation part and a notification control part. The calculation part calculates a recommendation degree of positioning of an ultrasonic probe for scanning a target part when it is irradiated, for each position of a treatment subject based on an irradiation plan for the target part of the treatment subject.
