PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type absorptive article which is excellent in slipping down prevention though an outer cover body is a pants type absorptive article which is divided into a belly-side outer cover body disposed on the belly side of the wearer and a back-side outer cover body disposed on the back side of the wearer.
SOLUTION: The pants type absorptive article 1 comprises the belly-side outer cover body 2A disposed on the belly side of the wearer, the back-side outer cover body 2B disposed on the back side of the wearer, an absorptive body 3 affixed so as to bridge between the belly-side outer cover body and the back-side outer cover body, and side seal sections 4, 4. The belly-side outer cover body 2A and the back-side outer cover body 2B are respectively provided with extended portions 21a, 21b extending downward from the side seal sections. The width of the extended portions 21a, 21b in the longitudinal direction of the absorptive article is uniform in the lateral direction and is greater than the length of the side seal sections 4. Portions of the extended portions 21a, 21b of the belly-side outer cover body and/or the back-side outer cover body, the portions of the extended portions being located outside both the side edges of the absorptive body 3, are stretchable in the lateral direction of the absorptive article.
