PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type absorptive article with excellent outer appearance, in spite of the pants type absorptive article of a type which is divided into a belly-side outer cover body to be disposed on the belly side of a wearer and a back-side outer cover body disposed on the back side of the wearer.
SOLUTION: The pants type absorptive article 1 includes a belly-side outer cover body 2A, a back-side outer cover body, and an absorptive body 3. The belly-side outer cover body 2A and the back-side outer cover body each have extended portions 21a extending downward from side seal sections 4. Elastic members 24 are arranged between two sheets 22, 23 in the extended portion 21a of the belly-side outer cover body. One or a plurality of elastic members are fixed between the two sheets 22, 23 at the side edges of the belly-side outer cover body or end fixing parts 27 arranged close to the side edges and are not fixed to the both of the two sheets 22, 23 between the end fixing parts 27, 27. Linear joint parts 29 for joining between the two sheets 22, 23 are formed so as to extend in the width direction (a Y direction) at a part where the extending portion 21a of the belly-side outer cover body overlaps with the absorptive body 3.
