PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type absorbent article having excellent buttocks covering properties and having buttock covering parts with excellent aesthetic appearance despite the pants-type absorbent article of a type being divided into a belly-side sheet member to be disposed at the belly side of a wearer and a back-side sheet member to be disposed at the back side of the wearer.
SOLUTION: This pants-type absorbent article 1 includes the belly-side sheet member, the back-side sheet member 2B and an absorbent body 3. This absorbent article further includes a pair of side sealing parts 4 and 4 formed by joining the belly-side sheet member and the back-side sheet member with both side edges 2b and 2b of the bely-side sheet member and the back-side sheet member 2B. The back-side sheet member 2B has back-side extension portions 21b extending downward the side sealing parts 4. The back-side extension portion 21b is disposed with a plurality of elastic members 24A-24E spaced in the article vertical direction (X direction) and, as it runs closer to a crotch part C, a force of the back-side extension portion 21b for contracting the back-side sheet member 2B in the article lateral direction (Y direction) becomes larger.
