PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of a regenerated type foreign odor which has been difficult to deal with in the past.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for reducing foreign odor substances generated from a textile product which comprises a step of suppressing the utilization by a bacterium of an Ante-iso fatty acid adhering to the textile product and having a total carbon number of 13-25 including a carbonyl carbon.
