The present invention relates to an artificial saliva composition. The present invention further relates to a novel amphiphilic substitute for saliva which can be used in Xerostomia and against side effects of radiation therapy for the treatment of cancer. The artificial saliva composition of the present invention further relates to the use of saliva substitute for drug delivery which also ensures sustained release of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic drugs.La présente invention concerne une composition de salive artificielle. La présente invention concerne en outre un nouveau substitut amphiphile pour la salive qui peut être utilisé dans la xérostomie et dans des effets secondaires d'une radiothérapie pour le traitement du cancer. La composition de salive artificielle de la présente invention concerne en outre l'utilisation d'un substitut de salive pour l'administration de médicaments qui permet également une libération prolongée à la fois de médicaments hydrophiles et hydrophobes.
