PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrombus suction catheter with a novel structure, capable of easily sucking and eliminating thrombus stuck on the inner surface of a blood vessel over the whole circumference of the blood vessel.SOLUTION: In a thrombus suction catheter having a suction lumen 16 formed thereon, an opening of the suction lumen 16 formed on a front end part 20 is an inclined opening portion 30 inclined against the center axis an intermediate part 22 made of a material having a hardness lower than that of a body part 18 and the front end part 20 is disposed so as to be positioned between the body part 18 at a base end side and the front end part 20 a first bending portion 40 is formed on the body part 18 the inclined opening portion 30 is opened toward inside in a bending direction of the first bending portion 40, and a guidewire lumen 32 having a diameter smaller than that of the suction lumen 16 is arranged so as to be positioned at the front extremity of the inclined opening portion 30.
