In a text simplification system, a method for replacing text in a field of view of a user, comprises receiving eye movement data from an eye-tracking device, the eye movement data relating to text provided in a field of view of a user and detecting a cognitive load associated with the eye movement and corresponding to a visual location of the field of view of the user. The method comprises, when the cognitive load meets a cognitive load threshold, identifying visualized text provided in the visual location of the field of view of the user and identifying personalization information associated with the user. The method comprises, when the personalization information meets a personalization information criterion, replacing the visualized text provided in the visual location of the field of view of the user with simplified text.Selon la présente invention, dans un système de simplification de texte, un procédé pour remplacer un texte dans un champ de vision d'un utilisateur, consiste à recevoir des données de mouvement d'œil à partir d'un dispositif de suivi d'œil, les données de mouvement de l'œil se rapportant au texte fourni dans un champ de vision d'un utilisateur et à détecter une charge cognitive associée au mouvement de l'œil et correspondant à un emplacement visuel du champ de vision de l'utilisateur.
