PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder composition for retaining food product quality, which has little alcoholic smell, reduces formation of acetaldehyde for preventing the food product from absorbing acetaldehyde smell, and holds the moisture of the food product an agent for retaining food product quality and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: The powder composition for retaining food product quality includes iron powder, ethanol-supporting silica powder, salts, water, and an aldehyde carrier.
