Provided is a remotely operated actuator which can, by remote operation, change the attitude of a tool provided to the front end of the actuator body, reliably supports the actuator body, and can manually and accurately change the position and attitude of the actuator body. An actuator body (6) is mounted on an operation base (50) having any degree of freedom. The actuator body (6) is provided with: a body base-end housing (4) which is affixed to the operation base (50) an elongated spindle guide section (3) which has a base end joined to the body base-end housing (4) a front end member (2) which is attached to the front end of the spindle guide section (3) so that the attitude of the front end member (2) can be changed and a tool (1) which is provided to the front end member (2) so that the tool (1) can be rotated. The spindle guide section (3) has provided therein: a rotation shaft (22) which transmits to the tool (1) the rotation of a drive source (41) for rotating a tool and an attitude operation member (31) which advances and retracts to change the attitude of the front end member (2).
