The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a black leaf tea product, the process comprising the steps of: providing black leaf tea having a moisture content of less than 5 wt.%； and then subjecting this black leaf tea starting material to a heat treatment step by contacting it with a heated surface at a temperature of 100°C to 170°C for a duration of 2 to 25 minutes. The present invention also relates to a black leaf tea product obtainable by this process.La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un produit de thé noir en feuilles, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : utiliser du thé noir en feuilles présentant une teneur en humidité inférieure à 5 % en poids ； et ensuite soumettre cette matière première de thé noir en feuilles à une étape de traitement thermique en mettant celle-ci en contact avec une surface chauffée à une température de 100 °C à 170 °C pendant une durée de 2 à 25 minutes. La présente invention concerne également un produit de thé noir en feuilles pouvant être obtenu au moyen de ce procédé.
