PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of raising a central region positioned at a widthwise center thereof stably to a wearers side.SOLUTION: An absorbent article is formed with: a pair of second longitudinal compression grooves 82 individually disposed on the widthwise outer sides of a central region RC containing the widthwise center of an absorbent and a second widthwise compression groove 86 extending widthwise. Between the second longitudinal compression grooves 82 and the widthwise end portions of the absorbent, there is disposed a low rigid area RL. On the outer sides of the longitudinal direction of the low rigid area RL, there are formed high rigid areas RH more rigid than the low rigid area.
