A biometric authentication apparatus includes: a living body disposing portion (105, 106) on which a living body (301, 1101) of a user is disposed a light source portion (103) for irradiating light to the living body (301, 1101) disposed on the living body disposing portion (105, 106) two or more imaging portions (101, 102) for imaging transmitted light which light irradiated from the light source portions (103) is transmitted through the living body (301,1101) to become and a control portion (110) for controlling the living body disposing portion (105, 106), the light source portion (103), and the two or more imaging portions (101, 102). In this case, the imaging portions (101, 102) capture a first biometric image (501) used in biometric authentication, and a second biometric image (502) used to calculate a correction coefficient based on which the first biometric image (501) is corrected. The control portion (110) calculates the correction coefficient, and corrects the first biometric image (501) by using the correction coefficient.
