<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yeast, wherein the yeast has excellent safety and high immunostimulatory potential even upon ingestion of yeast itself, the yeast is easily available and inexpensive, the yeast can be directly used for food production and cultured under low osmotic pressure, and further the yeast has low cohesive property during culturing and a high sugar-based culture yield, and foods and feedstuff containing the yeast. <；P>；SOLUTION: The yeast has following features: mannan content in cell walls is low； having immunostimulatory potential； having growing potential in YPD liquid medium having osmotic pressure of 300m Osm； a sugar-based culture yield is 75 mass% or more； and genome number is diploid or more.
