A fishing lure (87-90) having a long axis provided at its proximal portion, an elongated stiff wire shaft (57) having a bent or looped portion on its proximal end for attaching fishing line (19) or a swivel (49) thereto, and a bent or looped portion on its distal end. The distal portion of said long axis is formed by either a flexible element (68), or by a second elongated stiff wire shaft (63), or by one or more split rings (86). At the distal end, one or more hooks (71, 75, 79, 95) are attached, at least one carrying a weight element (72, 78, 80). The fishing lure includes at least one spinner blade assembly (12) connected to a span (14) of the proximally located stiff wire shaft, connected so that it is free to rotate through 360°. A rigid element (58) is attached to the wire shaft (57) between its proximal end and the spinner blade assembly, containing one or more openings (59) representing attachment locations for fishing lines or swivels.
