PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphate-free curdlan-containing composition that enables easy preparation of a curdlan dispersion or a curdlan aqueous solution when dispersed or dissolved in water, can sufficiently exhibit functions of curdlan and has good handleability.SOLUTION: There is provided a curdlan-containing composition which contains curdlan, a calcium salt and at least one of an organic acid salt and an inorganic acid salt and is characterized in that a pH of a dispersion or an aqueous solution prepared by dispersing or dissolving the curdlan-containing composition in water is 10 or more.
