The present invention relates to a composition comprising a Portulaca oleracea L. extract as an active ingredient for preventing, alleviating or treating acute pancreatitis. The composition according to the present invention inhibits the weight ratio of pancreas with respect to body weight, damages of pancreas and lung tissues caused by acute pancreatitis, neutrophil infiltration in pancreas and activity of amylase and lipase in serum. Therefore, the composition according to the present invention can provide efficacy of preventing, alleviating or treating acute pancreatitis.본 발명은 마치현 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 급성 췌장염의 예방, 개선 또는 치료를 위한 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 몸무게에 대한 췌장중량 비율, 급성 췌장염으로 인한 췌장 및 폐 조직의 손상, 췌장의 호중구 침윤, 혈청 아밀라아제(amylase) 및 리파아제(lipase)의 활성을 억제함으로써, 급성 췌장염의 예방, 개선 또는 치료 효능을 제공할 수 있다.
