The Phellodendri Cortex extract is a crude extract or purified extract. The purified extract is a purified extract(PA-P2) obtained prepared by filling the crude extract with HP20 filler, leaking ethanol with low polarity in order, decompressing, and freeze-drying； or a butanol solubilized fraction purified material(PA-CB). A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating pancreatitis contains the Phellodendri Cortex extract and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient, or diluents.본 발명은 황백 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 췌장염의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 세룰레인에 의해서 유발되는 급성 췌장염에 대하여 염증 유발 관련 효소를 억제하고 항염증 작용을 하는 효과적인 치료 효능이 있어, 급성 췌장염의 예방 또는 치료를 위한 의약품 및 건강기능식품에 사용될 수 있다.
