Disclosed is a method for using waste seaweed for replacing a synthetic chemical substance conventionally added as a buffer solution to adjust pH of a medium for culturing microorganisms and, particularly, for culturing lactobacillus. The present invention relates to a method for culturing lactobacillus with a medium composition for culturing lactobacillus comprising a carbon source, a nitrogen source, and a buffer liquid.
