PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stent designs that may be used for a variety of situations including treating bifurcation aneurysms at a branch vessel, stent designs to augment the radial strength of braided stents, stents with regions of differing porosity, and methods of attaching stents together.SOLUTION: A stent 10 has distal end loops 12, a high porosity region 16 and a low porosity region 14 which are formed by the number and size of wires forming a braid and by a pattern of the braid. The stent may have a radiopaque wire wound helically through the stent.
