PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic having low irritation to the skin, high safety, excellent thermal stability and an excellent feeling of use with a moisture-retaining feeling and without a sticky feeling.SOLUTION: There is provided an oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic which comprises components (A) to (D): (A) an ester of a fatty acid having 20 to 24 carbon atoms and sucrose, (B) a fatty acid having 16 to 24 carbon atoms, (C) a propylene glycol fatty acid ester represented by the general formula (1) [R1 and R2 each independently represent H or an acyl group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, with the proviso that R1 and R2 are not simultaneously H) and (D) an acrylic acid-based polymer.
