One or more amino acids selected from leucine, isoleucine and phenylalanine and abscisic acid are applied to fruit trees such as vines and rosaceae, preferably as solutions having a concentration of 0.2 mM to 100 mM and 0.1 μM to 10 mM, respectively. By doing so, the coloring of the fruit is promoted.ロイシン、イソロイシン及びフェニルアラニンから選ばれる１以上のアミノ酸と、アブシシン酸とを、好ましくは各々０．２ｍＭ～１００ｍＭ、０．１μＭ～１０ｍＭの濃度の溶液として、ブドウ科、及びバラ科等の果樹に施用することにより、果実の着色を促進させる。
