PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for carrying out soil culture of vegetables in which the range of insect pests is minimally stopped even when insect pests grown and stable culture is made possible. SOLUTION: Many containers 3 for culturing vegetables are provided and soil 6 is housed in each culture container 3 and seeds are sown therein and vegetables are each independently cultured in each culture container 3. Culture of vegetables 2 may be carried out in a room. Culture of vegetables 2 may be carried out under artificial light. In the culturing method, it is preferable that a shelf 1 is provided in a prescribed height on the ground and each culture container 3 is installed on the shelf 1 and culture of vegetables is carried out.
