PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is excellent in a leakproof property by closely attaching a leakproof wall in a loop shape to a wearer so as not to generate a gap even when a fold when being packaged is left on the absorbent article.
SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1A includes a vertically long absorbent body 5 provided with a front surface sheet 2, a back surface sheet 3 and an absorbent body 4, and hollow loop-like leakproof walls 7 at both side parts 5a in the longitudinal direction. The leakproof wall 7 has a high wall part 71 where the height of the leakproof wall 7 is partially high in at least one of an area b from an excretion part area (a) to the rear part and an area c from the excretion part area (a) to the front part including the excretion part area (a) to be abutted on the body fluid excretion part of the wearer.
