PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a leakproof wall which has an almost circular hollow loop-shaped cross section formed to its excretion region brought into contact with the body fluid excretion part of a wearer and capable of enhancing the fitness to the wearer, twist preventing properties and leak preventing properties.
SOLUTION: This sanitary napkin 1A includes an absorbent body 5 equipped with a surface sheet 2, a back sheet 3 and an absorber 4 and the hollow loop-shaped leakproof walls 7 formed to both side parts 5a in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body 5. The leakproof walls 7 are erected in an excretion region (a) so as to form a hollow loop shape. Each of the leakproof walls 7 has the turned-in parts 71 and 72 formed by inwardly turning a part of each loop-shaped leakproof wall 7 in the leakproof wall 7 from the outer side (e) and/or inner side (d) in the width direction of the sanitary napkin 1A at least in one of the front and rear of the loop shape forming part of the leakproof wall 7.
