Described is a needle assembly storage device (2) comprising a case (2.1) having a first port (2.6) and a second port (2.7), a first spool (1.7.1) rotatably disposed in the case (2.1) and adapted to support a storage unit (1) of needle assemblies, a second spool (1.7.2) rotatably disposed in the case (2.1) and adapted to support the storage unit (1) of the needle assemblies, and an actuator (2.3) adapted to rotate the first spool (1.7.1) or the second spool (1.7.2) to advance the storage unit (1) past the first port (2.6) and the second port (2.7).
