The present invention relates to a rotation aid device (14) for a person transport trolley (1) comprising a lower frame (2). The rotation aid device (14) comprises: - a frame, - an additional rolling means mounted movably relative to the frame, - an actuating means, configured to reversibly position the additional rolling means in a position deployed and in a retracted position, and - fixing means for fixing the frame to the lower frame (2). The actuating means extends in a longitudinal direction having an angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of the frame, less than or equal to 45 °, preferably less than or equal to 20 °. The invention also relates to a person transport trolley (1) comprising such a device for assisting rotation (14), and a method of improving a person transport trolley (1). La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'aide à la rotation (14) pour chariot de transport de personne (1) comprenant un châssis inférieur (2). Le dispositif d'aide à la rotation (14) comprend : - un cadre, - un moyen de roulement supplémentaire, monté mobile par rapport au cadre, - un moyen d'actionnement, configuré pour positionner réversiblement le moyen de roulement supplémentaire dans une position déployée et dans une position escamotée, et - des moyens de fixation pour fixer le cadre au châssis inférieur (2). Le moyen d'actionnement s'étend selon une direction longitudinale présentant un angle par rapport à la direction longitudinale du cadre, inférieur ou égal à 45°, de préférence inférieur ou égal à 20°. L'invention concerne également un chariot de transport de personne (1) comprenant un tel dispositif d'aide à la rotation (14), et un procédé d'amélioration d'un chariot de transport de personne (1).
